Who Is This For?
-
Available to certain Staff roles with building management access including PMC Owner, PM, and superintendent when "Allow Manage Residents" is toggled ON. For more information on access by roles, please refer to this guide.
- Handymen, Concierge, and Brokers do not have the ability to manage access.
- Requires Amenity doors to be set up for the building
- Changes are managed in the web admin
How It Works
Amenity access can be managed in two ways:
- By assigning multiple Residents to an Amenity at once
- By managing access for an individual Resident
Staff members automatically receive access to all Amenities once Amenity doors are added. Staff will need to sync all Staff after adding Amenity doors in order for Residents to get their Amenity keys. Residents must be explicitly granted access.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Option A: Grant access to multiple Residents for an Amenity
- Navigate to the building you want to manage.
- Click the Units tab.
- Select the Amenities tab
- Choose the Amenity you want to manage.
- Click Add Residents.
- Select one or more Residents from the dropdown list.
- Click Submit.
You will now see the full list of Residents who have access to that Amenity.
Option B: Manage Amenity access for an individual Resident
- Navigate to the Residents tab.
- Click the Resident you want to update.
- Select Manage Amenities from the toolbar.
- Toggle Amenity access on or off as needed.
- Click Update to save your changes.
What Happens Next
- Residents immediately receive or lose access to the selected Amenity
- Access changes are reflected in the Resident’s available keys
- Updates can be modified at any time from the web admin

Platform Differences: Carson Web Admin vs Mobile App
Amenity access can also be managed from the Carson mobile app. The mobile app supports individual Resident access only, while the web admin supports both bulk and individual Amenity assignments.
