Step 1
Download the USB Redirector TS Edition here. This allows you to login to the SMARTAir account being hosted on Carson's server
a) Open the download ZIP File, extract the files, and double click the file labled
usbredirector-ts-workstation-setup
b) Follow the prompts to install until you get to the below completion page. You can deselect the Open "Quick Start" page before selecting Finish.
Step 2
Take the physical SMARTAir encoder and plug it into a USB port on the local PC.
Step 3
Go back to the USB Redirector and press the USB hand in the top left corner.
Once shared, it should show the hand symbol next to the USB device (highlighted in blue below)
Step 4
Open Remote Desktop on your local PC. You can search for “Remote Desktop” in the main search bar on your desktop.
a) Once opened, enter “sa.carson.live” in the computer variable, and enter the provided username.
b)Click Connect and enter the provided password.
Step 5
Once you are connected to the remote desktop select the Smartair TS1000 icon to open. Then and enter the provider username & password.

Select Users from the main options.
Then
Step 7
Click on the user you would like to add a credential for. Then click “Encode” (highlighted below) to associate the fob with that User.
Keep Local Card selected the press ✔OK.
Step 8
Once it is done hold the credential up to the reader until it says okay. It is now ready to give to the resident or staff.
Step 9
To find out who the Owner of a Card is select Read Cards from the dashboard.
Place the fob up to the reader and the name will appear.
